this is the video i will be showing at antena this friday may 14th. it will be projected onto a panel made of shapes of laser cut acrylic and wool felt.
the title comes from this phenomena that makes you think you are hearing all frequencies at the same level, but in fact they are not all the same.
thank you
this is a piece i did a few years back. i always found the text from the transactions at this little store by my house kinda creepy, and i felt the same way about the apple screen saver, they were born to be together.
*update* this will be shown at artxposium in west chicago this weekend. the show is curated by anni holm and will have many marvelous artists involved from all over the world.

drawing
this is the first "drawing" i think i have done it at least ten years. alot like what what i was doing before grad school, but you know, not as good...
truck in kc
this was a few years back when a friend of mine colby smith had a gallery in kc called gallery hq. we brought a small pick up into the gallery and i proceeded to cover it in fake fur, lite it from the interior and had video projection from the truck. this is probably one of my most favorite pieces i have ever done. i would really like to recreate this again.
back in the studio
so this is a painting i kinda started back in 1998. i think it's finished. that may seem odd and overly dramatic, but i have painted on this thing many times, i don't even know how many colours it has been. who knows, maybe it's not done. any way this is a starter for for a few shows i have coming up. one at antena, and hopefully will be showing at next.

So here is another piece that will be in rotation in the front window at the garment room/ www.mikesmuseum.net . i am really happy with the way this is playing out reinstalling pieces in different situations offers a great opportunity to really test the context of works and there relationships to spaces.
hopefully over the next few days we'll get some ny posts. right now i'm still getting acclimated.
